Need some ideas
Thursday, August 10, 2006 9:29 PM
Okay, I want to do a 2 tone on my door panels. The arm rest is covered in black suede, and the lower part of the door is black. I need some ideas for the color for the top portion of the door. I just do not want to use silver for the top portion. Right now the car is silver, but that is for now.

I do not know what color I plan on painting it as of right now. But I do know that I am not going with pink, LOL. I am thinking of maybe Candy Apple Red.

I personally wanna do a full black door with a carbon fiber armrest I think that would look sweet.

well if you plan on painting the car but arnt sure on the color i'd wait on the inside. if you paint it now your going to somewhat limit your ext colors if you want everyting to look nice and flow well, that or youlle just have to redo it again to make it match up.

Well the color of the car I want it to match the color of the top part of the door panel. I am thinking Candy Apple Red for the top of the door panel and for the color of the car.

Well today I went to the store to find the Candy Apple Red paint, well needless to say just my luck they did not have it. But I did find Storm Grey. So I painted the the top portion of the door panel Storm Grey. The color flows really well with the black suede and the black bottom portion of the door panel. The only problem is when I put the panels back on some of the paint and primer chipped off, pissed me off. So I have to go back and get some more primer and Storm Grey paint. While I am at it I will also finish painting the interior (center console). Then all I will have to do is cover the headliner in suede and remove the rear deck covering and make a new one and then cover that in suede as well. I will post some pics tomorrow when the sun is out.
