molding gauge pillar

i bought a 2 gauge pillar mount, and i've seen that alot of people just screw them on but i want to mold mine. just wondering if anyone here could tell me how they did there's. whether if they had to do some fiberglass work or just sand it down then use body filler. any pictures would be helpful also.

I haven't done it, but in most situations, if you just use body filler it will crack.

i plastic welded mine....u can also plastic solder, its really easyu just weld or solder some abs plastic on the pillar n pod then u just sand it down n use a little filler if u have to,that way its bonded to the pillar alot stronger than fiberglass...guarantee it aint goin no where, kris i think i showed it to u....neways mine came out perfect n i kno it aint never gonna crack

Mines been molded for about 4 years now. The guy who did it for me super glued it to the stock pillar, then built it up with some more super glue. I've since covered it in fabric then removed it and painted it two different time with zero issues.
