Not sure if this should be in interior or transmission...
Here's my dilemma. Simply put, my shifter annoys me. I'm pretty tall, and I have really long arms. The only way I can confortably shift is with my arm hanging over the console like a friggin ape. If I could move it forward a bit, maybe with a custom shifter arm or somethig, it'd be much more comfy for me. Not sure if anyone else has ever complained of this or maybe they have and figured out how to fix it.

get a short shifter maybe? i know my b&m is fairly far from me and i have at handle on it so its extra short..phil

Yeah I don't know if a short shifter will help. Unless it can take say two inches of travel out. I've already hacked off about an inch and a half off the stock shifter and the Type-R knob sits down over it and it's still annoying me. I just wondered if anyone had ever done it, I never seen it mentioned.
Well i dont know how tall you are but mine is very comfy and im 6ft...here is the lenth..

hey man just lay your seat back a lil more and make yourself lay farther from the shifter and it should work well with your long arms
it would probably be cheaper to just shorten your right arm
why shorten your arm why not justcut the damn thing off
