Ok i just got a pair of racing seats from JCwhitney and i was goin to make my own but my GF is lookin for something to get me for my birthday, so why not. Where can i find some and how high do they sit compaired to stock?
From what I've read, the stock brackets will make the seat sit higher... so if you are one that is not tall in stature, this would be the route to take.
if you make you own brackets, can you use the stock sliders somehow? or how else would you make your own sliders?

the sliders usally come with the seats... mine did and everyone else i've talked to did. I think i might have confused ppl my question is how do aftermarket seat brackets compair to the stock seats and the way they sit? like in height and how far the seat sits forward and back.
All seats come with sliders (unless their really generic), so all you have to worry about is making your own brackets. Their not too hard to make, I know there is a FAQ about it somewhere here. Or you can message "Section8Cav" on AIM. I know he makes a bunch of seat brackets for people.
That is the write up I used.
Very easy, just takes a lot of time and a lot of cutting (took me a total of about 5 hours, I measured 27481392 times and cut once). A dremel is a HUGE help if you have one, if not -- get one.
yea i've had that thread bookmarked since it was started. i jsut wanted to see if it was worth buyin some instead but im gonna make mine next weekend.
