I was wondering what to do about changing the shift and possibly the e brake boot in my 2004 cavalier. I see alot of universal shift and e brake boots out there, and i also see alot of boots for specific cars. I will be putting in a short shifter eventually so getting one custom made for a 04 cav wouldn't do much good because it will be shortened. Should I just buy a universal one and make it fit as good as possible? Any other suggestions?
If you are buying a short throw, just wait until you do to buy new boots. They have a good selection of them on "www.aplusperformance.com". They sell them for normal shifters as well as short throws, so you may want to look into that.
I went to aplusperformance and they have none. I also e mailed them and they said they currently dont have any,
I had planned to wait till I install the short shifter first before getting a boot.
Yeah A Plus had an issue with the guy making the shift boots. I was kinda looking forward to getting the ones which I had ordered, unfortunatly I won't be getting them any time soon
No kidding?? I didn't know that, lol. Looks like I was lucky when I did order mine, lol
Mine took almost a month to get : 0
Redline Goods try there. The pictures my wife sent me looke really good (im in afghanistan and cant see it first hand) They also have my E-Brake boot that they are using as a template to make the E-Brake boot.
