replace a power window motor

Are there any instructions and pictures available to show how to replace the drive motor. The instructions that came with me say I need to secure the assist spring a bolt and nut but I sure can't figure out how to fit that inside there.

there is a write up somewhere. its either in this forum or the audio/electronic forum, so just search through the posts for that. the pics might still be working in it.

first get the window down, and then unbolt it and take it out of the door.

then there are 5 rivets holding the motor. use a dremel or just drill them out.

then you unbolt the regulator, 2 bolts

take out the whole assembly and switch the old motor with the new one.

my assembly didnt have a clock spring, so im not too sure what you need to do. i have read that you need to put the bolt through it so that it does not snap back and you lose a finger or two. . you might want to search throught the topics and find out what needs to be done.

other than that, my steps should help you, since thats what you will find in anything you search for. theres not much too it, but doublecheck when you search because i might have missed a few steps, im just going by what i remember
