ive seen a few posts about removing the drivers side air bag to install an after market steering wheel. and the question is always will the passenger bag deploy in a crash?
after several tests at work. the first one being a total accident that almost took my head off. the answer is yes the passenger air bag WILL deploy in a crash. you do not need an air bag simulator to make it work.

How did you come to do this little test LOL? And what did you do? Sorry it almost took your head off but man that must have been a funny picture.
"I wonder if this will make it go off ....... holllly @!#$"
Airbag sim should keep the idiot light from turning on, which can be an annoyance to some folks.
I assume you did this on a junk car. You shook the crash sensor after you disconnected the drivers air bag.
Whenever we replace airbags we have to blow them up. Sometimes they get faced the wrong way when we blow them up (
) and they shoot up. (They will shoot really far up, so do it in an open space.)
yeah back in my automotive class years ago, we did that, set some airbags off into the air, with 9 volts
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn

they can go off from static electricity. It doesn't need very much.
I don't even have an aftermarket wheel and I've been saying the passenger side will still go off regardless. They are two seperate connections for the both.
great too know... so i guess now when i wreck my girl will be safe but ill prolly be dead.
So, when I put in my aftermarket steering wheel what do I need to do to make sure nothing goes off??
Will pulling the fuse and disconnecting the battery do it?
Sorry to threadjack.
airbag simulator? where would one get such an item? hmmm...
i wonder if hp tuners could take it and turn the light off?
White 98'Z-alive n kickn
Black 97'Z-down for the count
zyaa : hp tuners doesnt do tech2 jobs.
I'm pretty sure the tech 2 cannot remove an air bag light.
But to remove the air bag, Disconnect the battery and let the car sit for several minutes, then replace the steering wheel. And usually all you need to stop the air bag light is a 2 ohm resistor inline with the air bag circuit that is now open.
I miss setting off airbags
Those and the seatbelt pre-tensioners
