A/C bypass question

everyone knows the a/c kills gas mileage.. when you put the defroster on for the front windshield... the a/c comes on... is there any way to bypass the a/c from coming on when the defroster is on....any help or suggestions would be helpful... it bugs the @!#$ outta me, thanks

UMMMMM. wow. thats an easy one. unplug the 2 wire plug off the compressor. or better yet. pull the AC fuse. its just THAT simple. lol

we dont want to bypass the ac all together just when it comes on when you have it set for defrost only. thanks tho.

couldn't you just run an in-line switch on the 2 wires for the compressor.. and flip that every time you wanted to disable the compressor?

didnt even think of that but it might work. just running a switch in series with the fuse.
