quick question....if i take out my radio bezel, which i had painted silver several months ago, and take the fiberglass mat and wrap it around the bezel and then resign it, will it work? just wanting to make a mold of the old bezel. as you can tell, i'm not a fiberglass expert. if it will work, how many layers of mat would you say i would have to put down? thanks for the help!!! by the way, i'm in the process of sanding the paint off. just got tired of the color and plus it needed to much touching up.

someone correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure you will have to sand the paint off of it and apply a mold wax to it. It will allow the fiberglass to come off.

are you looking to make a mold of the bezel?? or add onto it?

either way, if u have no knowledge in fiberglass, i would think twice about doing something like this

You have to cover the bezel with fiberglass resign, then you ad the matting and recoat abot two or three times, depending on the strength you are seeking.

he said he wants to make a mold of it. honestly instead of making a mold save the headaches and sanding and pull one from a junkyard. i got one for 20 bucks
