post pics of your Roll Cage

im looking for some pics of roll cages. specifically, roll cages for convertibles.

autopower has this listed for the vert: looks ok, but id like to see it actually installed in a vert.

A+ has this listed for the convertible. as far as a drop top is concerned, im sure it would be much better than the autopower one. looks like the cross bar is removeable too.

ive searched high and low and cant seem to find pics of any drop top j with either of these installed. if you guys have any pics, post em up.

and even if you dont have a drop top, post pics of your roll cages. id like to see the different styles for coupes and sedans.

I'm still wanting to see a 'vert with the rollcage. I'm going to try getting one sometime soon, not really for looks (as long as it isn't hideous) but for safety reasons in case I flip the car (doubtful but better safe than sorry).

I have one but I don't have any good pictures of it yet. It's from S&W Race Cars.

sorry not a vert but some pics to say the least. the harness bar isn't bolted up to it and the rollbar has long been gone since these pics were taken.

same here. while i would prefer one for cosmetic reasons, having the added protection of a roll bar is a huge plus. it looks like either of us will have to bite the bullet and be the first one to get it for a vert.

I have a 4 point roll cage in the drag car........ I forget the brand, but its a Fox Body Mustang cage.

GotMoose's bar looks like the one RK Sport used to carry, which looks alot like the Auto-Power one. I seen it in JennyJo's Cavy, fit pretty good. If I where to get one for my Z, that would be the one I'd get. (it would also work with the Vert)

if it's a safety thing, without the braces that go to the back, it wont quite be as usefull as you think... 2 mounting points isnt going to hold up, if under a lot of stress its simply going to bend the bar forward or back... possibly creating more of a risk than anything

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn

OK, OK, Ben...if you insist. I think that most people should've seen them by now. lol

*Remember, folks...it was only tack welded and we never got a chance to finish completing it....*

And just to see how well it held up...unfinished....

im looking for more aesthetics than safety, although i still think that it would help in a roll over. im i am going forward at the time i am also rolling, then it would stand to reason that the force of impact would move the bar back, and not forward. of course i could be doin some mad tyte reverse donuts and flip i guess

crystal: much better. i know it hurts to post pics of your baby, but for the rest of the .org that hasnt seen them it may help. after all, that roll cage probably saved your life, right?

btw.....in all of your travels to these shows, have you never snapped any pics of cages in any other Js? SOMEone SOMEwhere has to have a bar in a vert. i mean hell, you found a J at a show that was using caddy tails too!

Who installed your cage? I would like to slap them upside the head and then proceed to call them a @!#$ moron. Those downtubes are NOT supposed to get mounted to the rear seat. They are made to go into the trunk and mount back past the rear wheel wells.

it still functioned perfectly fine, even when it wasnt completed.....

yeah it looks pretty close to me. i understand how they are "supposed" to go, but it doesnt look like those 6-12" on either side mattered when it came down to function.

I JACOB, would be the damn moron that decided how the bars were to be placed. It was more about looks than functionality, but was put to use and never had the chance to be finished. It wasn't planned to flip the car, it just happened, and you can see the fu(ker worked.

Well if it wasn't for functionality then that's fine. I just hate to see a cage installed improperly. Glad it worked for you though.

So if it was not installed for function, and then she actualy rolled the car, it DID work, did not malfunction at all, then what the hell is the big deal with the rear supports mounting points to begin with? it worked just fine how it was... and it DID help in the roll over.... i dont get it.
