Seatbelt removal?
Monday, December 25, 2006 9:03 AM
Currently in the process of coverting my '04 interior to black, but am stumped on how to remove the panel for the the front seatbelts (Sedan). How do I remove the seatbelt to get this panel off? And how would I go about changing my seatbelts? would a fabric dye work?

Many thanks,
Nate

I don't have a sedan but...
as long as there isn't any screws for that panel, it should just pull out. It's prolly got a couple clips holding it on.

As for the seatbelt, there is a T-45 or T-50 size torx bolt that you have to undo. I've seen both sizes but it will most likely be T-45. I've seen them fabric dyed before and they turned out really good. The person who did it just pulled them out all the way and hald them open some way and then fabric dyed them. I went to the junkyard and bought the graphite colored belts from a wrecked cavy and swapped those in.
