Can the glove box be removed by itself or is it part of the entire dash on a sunfire?

I hate to say it, but about 30 seconds of staring at it would have answered your question...

Well, to be honest it'd be about as useful as a sawz-all for removing the glovebox (the lid, anyway).

lol alright sorry i just remembered i made this post. Yea i kinda figured that it wasn't removable but i thought i'd ask just to make sure there wasn't some kind of hiden bolts or screws or some weird GM trick to get it out. the reason i asked is because i was goin to mount my door popper brain under the dash but when i got under thereon the pass side, like the top of the dash, there is no room at all. Guess ill just mount it under the center console...

Peanut..... I think the sawzall would be better to remove the glovebox, atleast u can cut with it.

Ya know.... I didn't even think of there. That's where my alarm control used to be.

Not under the console, but the piece at the front (or 2 piece...) under the HVAC, remove that and there's plenty of space.

there is nothing there, its just some metal support for the dash frame and thats it there will be tons of room to mount your controller there without any issues

Well, I noticed that in your profile you said "Anything you have money for" for future mods, so here's another idea. If you plan on putting an aftermarket wheel in at any time, then you can pretty much just yank out you passenger side air bag as well because neither one will deploy if one is missing. At least that's what a GM tech told me. There is a WHOLE TON of room under the pass. side air bag cover, and it's very easy to get to. I am in the process if installing a motorized/hidden screen in mine, and there's enough room for the track work, screen, motors, and complex mounting brackets. Just throwing that out there, I know that some people are funny about pulling air bags and all, but it's just a thought.

I put mine where the heater duct is in the middle, everything fits there fine.
