Went to the junkyard and got everything i needed from another cavalier to intall in my 2000. Works like a charm. So anyone wanting to do this..no fear, it'll work fine.
Well . . . Do you atleast want to post how you did it...?
Bull@!#$ its easy.....
I did it, and its not simply plug and play. Theres alot of wiring involved.......
So yes do show us how "easy" it was
i did it, run about 5-6 wires and your done...?
i dont know WTF you were doing meckster....
1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
5-spd
ok....so again....does anyone want to elaborate? maybe a parts list....anything?
a how to would be great from all those speed demons. cause i have 2 cruise control units sitting in my closet right now that would like to be installed if it so easy... and a spare one to get rid of for someone else who wants to do it easy.
Hey, I just threw matches at my curtains and they didn't start on fire, so don't be afraid, throwing matches at your curtains wont start them on fire.
Ok as in alot of wiring i mean cutting and soldering
I said bull@!#$ its easy, because when you say easy on this site, people expect plug and play....... mmmkay?
To do a nice factory job, with running wires to a place in the fuse box, soldering all the connections, and hiding them in the stock harness........ its time consuming. Sorry I dont want wires hanging from everywhere....
And sorry "Drake", i dont have any right up or anything. I will tell you you need a good wiring schematic for the cruise system and be good at reading it. Haynes had a perfect schematic in there for me
i have the cruise module i just need a wiring harness and a control switch... i think everything else would work out.
id do a total write up if someone would find me a factory control switch arm and a wiring harness for a 2200.....
This topic sucks balls. The creator posted bragging about his install, yet he hasn't been back to say how, how long it took, etc. Just some schmuck bragging, and no one has yet to post exactly how to do it for the people that are curious and have asked.
like said if i could get ahold of the wiring harness and the cruise switch id be more than happy to do a write up.
ive seen a write up before but its for a 2004 so that doesnt help me much.
i also need the buttons that push into the brake and clutch pedals...
anyone hook me up?
ok ive gotten the wiring harness and 2 switches froma automatic. im planning on doing a write up to see exactly how hard this is. ive got 2 switches that i need to know abit about... if you can help checkout my thread in the maintenance section.
