ive looked everyewhere high and low for a Z24 cluster w/ tach from a 3 spd auto. and finally i found one. im wondering will THIS cluster fit in my 96 Cav. witha 2.2????if so imma snatch this up quick. thanks alot guys

I've been looking for a 99 z24 5 speed cluster with tach and digi odometer, and still have not found one...get it if you think it'll work.

yeah i snatched it up. if it dont work its only 30 bucks. not a big deal.but if someone knows i would still like to know.

95-99 all clusters are interchangable....... you just need to reset the theft lock to get the car to start.

00+ all clusters are interchangable, but no theft lock to worry about.

95-99 cav to cav, or sunfire to sunfire, but not cav to sun or sun to cav, not without wiring changes anyway

and i cant use 99 and some 98's for the digital. so its limited to 95-mid 98. and i have my theftlock disabled so i dont have to do any of that jazz. it should be here today or tomorrow. altho im still surprised that they made a Z24 with a 3spd auto.

98/99 "Digital" is just the display....... its still all located in the cluster itself. I have a 99 "Digital Odometer" cluster in my '96 Z...... oh, there was never a 3rd Gen Z24 with a 3 speed...... Your choices were 5 speed manual or 4 speed auto.

Oh, and thanks Shifted, I forgot GM had different cluster plugs on the 95-99 Sunflower/Canabeer clusters....

there has to have been. ive found gauge overlays for the 3spd. in 95-99 with tach. so

plus please explain the ebay add then. lol. weel all find out either tuesday or tomorrow. hopefully tomorrow.

ok, i am looking to swap my sunfire cluster for a cav cluster. can anyone list all the wiring changes that would need to be made please. i really want to swap so i can have blue LED's backlit in cluster instead of the ugly redish/orange tinged overlay that comes standard on the 96 sunflower. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

all the wiring is the same. all you need to do is get the plug for the sunfire and hard wire it in. all colors are matching.

welp. i recieved my cluster today. they sent me the wrong one. or the description was wrong. im betting on the description being wrong. they send me a normal cluster for a 3 spd. i just emailed them so weel see what they say.

like I said...... the 3 speed never came in a Z24..... or a 2.4 equiped LS Sedan.

AND..... there are 6 clusters for the 95-99 Cavalier. 4 speed Auto w/ Tach, 4 speed Auto w/o Tach, 3 speed Auto w/ Tach, 3 speed Auto w/o Tach, 5 Speed w/ Tach, 5 speed w/o Tach.

Just because it has a Tach doesnt make it a Z24, although ALL Z24's had a Tach from the factory. The RS had a factory Tach, and never came with the 2.4 (which was a Z24/LS only option).

yeah. i didnt mean for it to be just strictly z24. i dont care if its z24. all i want is the tach. lol. i think its jsut the mentality that if its z24 it has a tack. lol. sorry for the miscommunication.

welp. he gave me a refund of all my money and a message saying "your money has been refunded" so. i emailed him back asking if i could get the correct cluster and and what he wanted me to do with the one he sent me and he said they didnt have any of the correct one in stock right now. but nothing about the cluster he sold me. so once again i emailed him so. weel see what happens. but as it stands i have my money and the cluster. lol. maybe ill keep it if he ignores the question again. lmao

will a cluster for a Manual transmission work???
