I don't know I might just be crazy. Or It might be becasue I drove a grand am for 2 1/2 years, but is it just me or are the cavies more cramped than the sunfires? I swore when I drove my '98 sunfire my legs cleared the steering wheel, but in my cavie I have the seat back the whole way, the tilt wheel up the whole way, and my legs still bump the steering wheel!
has something changed since 1998 that I don't know about? BTW both the cavie and fire are coupes. My brother took over payments on my sunfire when I got the grand am, so I might have to go sit in his just to see if I'm crazy or not.
maybe you just got fatter?
should be the same since they are the same steering assembly. do they both have tilt steering? my cavi doesn't and my legs can barely bump it if i sit a certain way, but my sunfire does have tilt steering.

yeah they both have the tilt wheel. Acctually I've slimmed down quite a bit from when I bought the sunfire, to when I bought the cavie. I think its just me. Driving a grand am around for 2 1/2 years will make it feel smaller.

Well anyway my old Sunfire is now my bro's sunfire... I let him take over the payments on it so i could get the grand am in '04. And I'm not crazy. I decided to sit in it today. Not only is the roof higher (which is understandable since I have a sunroof and he doesn't) but the dash seems to be away from my legs an inch and the tilt wheel seems to stop the wheel an inch higher, resulting in a LOT more seating room in the driver seat in the '98 sunfire as opposed to the '04 cavalier. I really don't get it. Its the same car. Its the same platform. Its the same generation. Why is the '98 sunfire more roomy than an '04 cavalier?
