lighted shift knob installation

Anyone know a good power source wire to splice the power lead into, and is there a good chassis ground under the console? I guess I could run the power lead from the fusebox if necessary, but I'd rather not run more wire if there's a better option. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

there is a good ground under the console, i have a switch grounded under my console, but unless you could splice into the power windows switch if you have it then you will have to run it from the fuse box

thanks for the info. I was just ouside looking, and thought about the tapping the power lead to the aux lighter on the side of the console.

I like that one, but that makes me think since I have an EQ, I think I'll tap that power lead. WHich is better, chassis ground, or tapping into a ground wire from a stereo component?

Good idea

Bad idea. The shorter the ground, the better.

Cool, Thanks. Tap the EQ power, and ground to a screw under the console. Now where do I want to put the switch? Anybody got a pic of a switch in the side of the console?
