As for the question, I say go for it.
Lol sorry Kardain... Sorry guys
What would happen if I paint it with the paint I'm going to use on my mirrors, lip kit, door handles ect.

Hey, its ok... Something that is kind of out of your control.
Depends on the paint. Is it actual automotive paint or rattlecan stuff?
Its like actual automotive paint that you spray out of a spray gun. Would that work on the interior?

Thanks a lot kardain you have really takin this newb under ur wing lol. I'm gonna save this info because I'm not gonna be able to paint until the spring maybe even the summer.
But one more thing do you think my car would look weird because I want to keep the stock steering wheel (I like the protection of the airbags. So does the inspection guy lol) instead of an aftermarket one like in the picture will this look weird with painted interior?

If you're not going to replace your steering wheel, then I'd leave the trim piece on the column stock color so it doesn't look too out of place.

No prob bro
i too say go for it man, im thinking of doing mine like that only silver.
I agree go for it i have mine done like that and love it, cant beat a nice painted clear coated dash. I will say this when you go to get your supplies like paint clear and primer and all the good stuff, tell the guy that works there you are painting plastic, they should give you plastic primer/plastic adhesive. its combined so it primes the piece and promotes a good surface for the paint to stick too. to apply it you shoot one thin coat and thats it, so the part you are doin has to be smooth cause it wont really fill inperfections.
THIS IS THE GUY
