i have a problem and i was wondering if anyone had this experience and or knows how to fix it. i bought an 03 cavalier, and the rear defroster didnt work, i opened the fuse panel and there was no fuse, ok i put a fuse in figuring thats it, well as soon as i push the buttton to turn it on the fuse blows, try it again and the same thing occurs, also i checked the connections on the rear window and they are all good so im stumped, any ideas, im thinking its the switch but i dont want to replace anything thats not needed.
Put in a higher amp fuse. On my 05 Cavy, the rear defroster worked for a few months and then it died. Found out it was because the fuse was crap, so I pt in a higher amp fuse. I believe I put in a "30", but its too cold to go outside and check, lol. Anyways, that solved the problem and the rear defroster hasn't run into anymore issues since.
