just pull out
and dont break the clips that they hold on to on the bezel itself
ha ha yeah i know how to get those out!!! i guess i shoulda explained myself better i want the "inner" vent out like the plastic that's behind the dash, because i don't think i can run the wires up there if the vent tunnels are still there and i'll probably have to block it off somehow so the warm air can't get though?? hope that helps better
Mike Jones,
Did you ever find out an answer for this question? I just bought a brand new air vent for my 99 Sunfire and I need to get that inner plastic thing out too, but wasn't sure what the safest way to do it was without busting anything.
well you can always dremel it out...and weld a plastic piece over the hole that usually works so air doesnt release. thats the way to take out the center air vent
there are screws holding it down you have to remove the top dash and look you will see them.
I don't think mine has screws holding it down (I have a '99) is there another way to get it out?
