so i have manual windows, and when i go to crank the drivers one down, when it is about 20-30% down it gets REALLY hard to crank, and after about a half turn it gets easier again.

this thing is so hard to crank that sometimes the round handle on the crank pops off cuz i'm putting so much force on it

Mine got so that I had to inch them down a bit, then back up, then inch it down a bit more, ad naseum. It got so bad that I figured it was out of it's track or some such thing. As it turns out, I was able to solve the problem by lubricating the rubber trim at the base of the window with some light grease. The window was messy for a while, but it's much easier to move the window now.
