hey guys i have the dash crack issue and instead of pulling it out, im thinking about covering it with suede (im going to put suede in anyway, so i dont see a point in pulling out the whole dash and fixing it just to cover it, im going to put a piece of rubber in between to tighten it up and then im going to cover it with suede (probably gray to match my silver/charcoal interior) any other ideas for how to cover this? or would the rubber be enough to keep it in place... from there i guess just glue and suede....
You're going to need to pull the dash out if you want to recover that piece and make it look even remotely good.

so its unavoidable? alright guess i gotta set some time over the summer for this one. thanks
its not that hard to pull the dash..i can get mine out in less then a hr..so a hr in and out and a few hrs to wrap it..sounds like a weekend project to me!..phil
yeah i would just do it as a weekender, but i would like to have a garage and since im on campus they dont have any for me to use... im not to thrilled about the idea of taking it all apart either. this being my first car i dont want to learn on it by breaking something... maybe i could go to a junkyard and take a j.y. car apart first. unless anybody lives in maryland and wants to tear apart a 2000 cavy
lol
