okay i have an 05 cavalier im moving the hvac and it has the cables that are push pull and the only thing we can think of that you could do to move them is to put a choke cable on it to extend the cable or getting one of the electronic ones out of a car at the jukyard nut that would take alot. i was sondering what other people did

well when i was looking at mine i couldnt get it to move a couple inches, i mine i can cut and splice the wires to extend those but theyre is cable atttached to two and they are pretty tight i couldnt hardly get the face off b/c i couldnt get behind it. if you take out the entire dash does that make it so you can. thanks

That cable is your temperature control cable.

if you want you can move it up to the top of the dash like Johns or into your glovebox without having to splice or lengthen wires and cables and vacuum lines...you can't move it much to the drivers side other than an inch or two, but towards the passenger side is a piece of cake since all the wires and temp cable is on the passenger side.

i couldnt get mine to move to the space below its current location. the wires are just too tight. how can i make them longer to put the hvac in the glove box?

justin, have you pulled the entire dash? do that and you will see a couple wire holders holding the wire up. but u should have tons of room to move it to the glove box without modifying any wires.
