I just got new gauges in the mail and was wondering if there was anything i should know before i tackle this installation. I know how to remove the dash and cluster but wiring the gauges seem different than stock because of the switch an such. any help would be appreciated. thanks

basically to install you
can install them by not removing the needles. point the needles up and slide them on.
to wire them it should only be 2 wires. 1 is ground and 1 is power. splice into a switched 12v source like the headlights (which i believe is the brown wire not positive though)
^^^yup. the illumination wire is brown.....to the left of the column running in a bundle of wires to the "stick" that the switches are on
I spliced into the cigerrette lighter wire, since there is only 2 wire that goes to the cigerrette lighter, 1 is power and 1 is ground...
Then i cut some rubber off the black wire and use electrical tape and taped it onto the steering wheel mount to ground it... Easy....

Someone told me to take the needles off. so, i shouldn't do that cuz i gotta slide the center piece on.
i searched and found nothing. please show me a post where someone else needs help for the 95-99 model with a tach.

here is a pic of my gauges/overlay. I just tapped mine into my fog light switch.

you got to order the alluminum one and in the checkout process if you want carbon fiber you just have to mention it in a notes/comments area. i want to say it was around $15 shipped
