hey, this might be a dumb question, but where i can i buy some foam at? i want to practice fiberglassing and i hear that using foam is a good way to practice. i do plan on fiberglassing my radio bezel, door panels, and sub enclosure in the future. thanks in advance.
well what exactly are you using the foam for? best bet is to get some of that ghard foam that is used in a vase or the like to hold fake flowers, then cover it in tin foil
just looking for some decent size pieces to make a mold out of what ever and practice on. just wanting to get the technique down, basically. do i have to buy the flowers just to get the foam, or can i just buy a block of foam somewhere? if so, i guess my wife is due for some flowers. lol
lol...you should be able to get the foam at any joanne fabrics or Michael scrafts if u have those near you. heck you can most likely get it at walmart too.
also, if you're just trying to get the technique down, you dont even have to use the foam. you can use just about anything. just take whatever shape/object you wanna use, wrap it in foil, tape the edges so it wont leak under and go to town.

^^^^ That is very true, I picked up a box worth of that foam came out to like $15 at the store. Ppl were staring at me like I was crazy

lmao....i had to go to Joanne's this past weekend for some material to fiberglass with. shoulda seen there faces when i came up with 2 yards of a very soft pastel yellow fabric called "dance/swimwear nylon" lmfao
why do all the girls think it is so weird when a guy walks in to a fabric store lol me and my buddy were in there before buying suede and these gurls asked us if we were gay. i was like wtf lol. i said no i just like my car lol
