Hi all! first post!! It's issues with my 2001 Cavi!
here's my issue: I purchased a new momo ebrake handle, and tried to apply it to the existing one. The OEM one was curved near the end so it didn't fit. I had to cut it off. THen I found out that a portion of the ebrake lever shaft is curved and widened at the most crucial point. The curve is 1 inch too early, so my handle is set a little more outwards, with nothing to support the inside of the handle, except for the screwes in the end. THe boot attached won't stay because of that lost inch, what can I do to solve the problem??
Does anyone know if Momo door Sills will tape down to the OEM ones on Cavi's?? or do I need to rip off the oem ones. If so, how??
Also, I'm thinking of purchasing a Momo steering wheel, but Momo apparently doesn't sell the Hub adaptor for it. Any suggestions?? thanks guys!
dont know much about the e-brake, but you might have to go back a few years on the steering wheel hub kit to prior air bag yrs. the shaft and everything should be the same.
MOMO part 2401. Talk to Jason @ jbodysource.com. Works just fine on your car. Search is your friend. You're welcome!
Gotta keep on livin', L-I-V-I-N
that's the thing, the MOMO application manual said that anything 1995+ won't work due to a skinnier shaft =(
cool. Thanks dude. now, what about the handbrake? any solutions? I'm up for fabrication and any sort of modification, but I'm cost concious.
