Ok my driver side window started to go up and down slow and just the other day it went down but then i couldnt get the window back up. Everyone says its the motor. How hard is it to replace the motor and is that the only problem could there be other issues i have to find?
Might just be the window switch. Seen it happen on two cavaliers. Try swapping with one that works or getting one from a junkyard. That may solve your problem.
I weird thing is that my passanger side works perfect
Yeah I've seen it do that too. Go to a junk yard, find one, swap it in and if it works buy it.
WOW I think i will try that my dad was saying to try to clean the contacts on the switch thanks i will let you know

Umm ok well switching the switches did not work ao im going to the dealership and have to buy a new window motor so this kinda sucks but i guess it will be worth it.

Don't goto the stealership. Goto Autozone or O'Reillys, they're only like $40. I just replace my passenger one for the second time and it only took about 2 hours. My advice, make sure you don't remove the old motor without finding a way for the other piece to stay in place or it's going to snap and scare the crap out of you (the piece with the spring on it) or worse.

Sorry to hear that. James Larsen is right, avoid the dealership if you can help it. Doing so will save you a ton of cash. Good luck with everything.
yeah, dude. My drivers side power window went out and to replace it was an absolute bitch. For real though, eff the dealer and just go to AutoZone. Mine had it in stock and it was about 15 bucks cheaper than O'Reilly's. Word to the wise, though: make sure you have a stable, well-lit area for replacing the coil when you hook the new motor on. If you have a buddy, that's even better b/c the coil is large and TIGHT. Also, pay special attention to the location of the coil when you pull the panel off. It has to go a certain way or else the window totally craps out and you risk the spring popping out and scaring the crap out of everyone involved. Trust me, my boyfriend still has the scars.
Best of luck!
Ok well i had to buy a hole new motor and a new switch for my car and i messed the tinting up on my window when i drilled the bracket out so i ended up paying 130 for the motor 60 for the switch and like 80 for the window tinting and a bitch of work to get the motor

Wait...$130 for the motor? You must have went to the dealership. Sucks about the tint and the price gouging.
