Question on vibration problem
Friday, March 23, 2007 11:25 PM
Hey everyone, I installed my lower motor mount and upper insert from TTR, love the torque it puts to the wheels now, but there are the vibration issues. My question is that when I go to re-do my interior, are there any tricks or tips on how to make the dash stop vibrating or not vibrate as much? Been kickin ideas around in my head but want to see what others have done to resolve this issue. Thanx in advance

i had the same problem but it was just my dash pad that was shaking so when i redid the serfice on my with material i fab some metal plates up and ran a bolt with a slim head on it so it was easier to hide on the dash and a nut and bolted it down i think i did 3 or 4 of them total cant remember but if i was you if your taking the dash apart just look for some hiden places to fab up some plates and bolt it in better.... although mine still has vibration to it but it doesnt make the noise it used to!!!

^^ Lol but then it's not as fun

Cale thanks for the suggestions, I was thinking bracing in someway would probably be the best, and any mounting points large enough I was thinking of putting rubber bushings to help absorb some of the shaking. I'll be glassing the dashpad, maybe the extra weight will help out. Thanx again

Something that helped me a LOT was rubber washers, get them at a hardware store. Throw a rubber washer under EVERY bolt when you put it back together and it takes a lot of the vibes out. For what is left a little dynamat, or another sound deadener, would take care of.

On second thought, maybe you should get some backup batteries and a dose of lubricant.
