hey there i am new to this install i have done searchs but come up with nothing....... when i install these gauges there are 3 things to hook up + and - wires positive goes to brown on the harness under the steering wheel and black goes to black
#1 about the wires am i tapping into the brown or cutting the brown wire off and connecting the red wire to it or am i keeping the brown wire connected to the harness and just simple connecting another wire to the mix
#2 there is an on off button that came with the gauges i tested the cluster out but it only works when i push the button on and off makes sense but when i disconnected the red wire and then touched the red wire to the 12v source again i needed to push the button again inorder for the gauges to come back on ok so my question is if i connect the + and - wires to the harness will i still have to use the little on off button that came with the gauges or do i simply hide the button under the dashpad and b4 putting it all back together simply turn the gauges on with it ...or will i have to mount that on off button somewhere and push it each time b4 i drive at night in order to use the gauges...these are basically exactly what i have besides minor differences

1) you splice into it
2) the brown wire is the headlight switch. if you leave the transmitter on when you turn your lights off the overlay will go off too.
