I'm pretty sure it needs to be cut off, somebody correct me if I'm wrong

u dont need to chop it off, just trim it down..now the leather stuff around it yea it needs cut off..then the metal under it needs grind down so that the new one will fit over it

I put in a new momo one, and it was a pain in the ass.

Since the Metal part of the handle is curved

I had to:

1) take an exacto knife/cutting tool to cut off the rubber handle

2) drimmel down the bottom pieces of the handle at the tip, and end.

3) slip it on, and screw secure, using whatever I can use to secure the handle on hte inside

4) shave the button down a bit to fit it a little more flush.

I'll post pics when I can.
