Lately when I'm in the middle of driving, my guahges would go out of whack
All the lights would turn on on the guage face, the needles will ALL go down to 0.
And it will say "error" where the odo is.
IT used to happen about a month ago, once every week MAYBE
Now it's doing it once every 10-15 minutes. I can't find the reason yet.
Anyone can give some advice?
I'm having the same problem and warning lights: sealbelts, theftlock etc. go off and on for no reason.
Anyone?
i know this is not a fix in any sort of way... but when my old sunfire woudl do that if i punched the cluster it would start workign again lol
My sister is having this problem with her fuel sensor. It says she has a quarter tank, and she ran out on the highway.
Why would you punch and try and destroy your car?
Did you think that if you hit it and it came back on, that maybe the connection was loose?
Check the connection

200$ car and conenctiosn were fine.. that was first thing i checked lol.. that car was 4 j's ago tho she bee long gone
If it has been doing it for quite a while, why haven't you taken it in yet?? Sounds like your gauge cluster could be screwed. I've never seen one that said "error" before. Have you tried replacing it yet?
I haven't had the time because I was in China for 3 weeks.
Eastwood, your sister's problem can be fixed at any GM dealership.
Some cavaliers have that problem. There was a massive factory recall for that prob
I was stranded in the middle of nowhere once 'cuz of that, with a rental.
they told my dad that she needed to order new guages
