i have a 97 cavy and i want to buy a molded carpet ready to install no cutting necessary i was wondering if anyone bought carpet before and from who? or if you have a part # that'll be cool too? thanks
jason at aplus sells premolded carpet. i got mine from
stockinteriors.com. i called em up and talked to a guy, real nice guy. he sent me 3 samples of their dif kinds of carpet. im really pleased with mine. fun to do too. only thing is i cut it a bit short in one section and it doesnt stay tucked
other than nice its great. it even comes with stock shaped floor mats in the same carpet

www.rockauto.com also carries carpet that is pre molded, i have not used it however.
did you go with the plush cut or the ultra-plush cut which is closer to factory?
believe it was ultra plush. it was the ony closest to stock

buddy of mine works at a toyota dealership, beside a GM dealer and he's friends with the owner...bla bla bla...
Gettin a black carpet for 03 CAV fot $100, new.
i doubt i can hook ANYONE up, but just go to a GM dealer, or a junkyard.

ACC mats black carpet from Jason is $115 shipped. or at least it was when i got mine last year
I just placed an order with ebay seller "stock interiors." I like how they sent me a link where I can check the progress/status of my carpet
If I had known about Jason selling carpets I would have ordered from him! I gotta take care of the people who take care of the j-community

on a side note... does the ACC mat carpet, or otherwise other brands come with the stuck on 'rubber' coating on underside like stock?
would be a good way to free up some weight if they dont... and look stock, that would rule.
as for GM prices, i get a good deal, 98 cav. graghite brand new is $235.00 for me.
Specifics to the carpet can be made... since they are made to order. They can NOT include the heel pad or sound deadener if you didn't want it.

awesome, any chance of it getting a little cheaper? especially on shipping....
I just ordered my ACC carpet from Jason 2 days ago, and I was wondering if I should install this by removing the old carpet? or overtop of the stock one? What do you recommend? How thick is the ACC carpet compared to stock?
definately remove the stock!! i dont think it would even fit over the stocker.
its same thickness of carpet, minus the sound dead padding. mine fit perfect as can be. you will need to make minor cuts like around the console area, but they're all cuts that are covered by interior panels when you install it all back in.
ACC mats carpet is still one of the best additions to the car you can do IMO

did that come with the rubber on the back or not?
8 psi with m62 and IAT under 100
No, it did not. I was a little disappointing about that until I got it in. I guess I could have used the rubber from the stock carpet, but it really wasn't that big of a deal.

should be the same as any cav or fire from 95-05
is this true all cavys have the same carpet two door or four?
