I purchased
This Kit and it will be in on Tuesday. Is there a write up on doing this job? I found only power window conversion directions. I have a bunch of things Im going to be doing at once, and i want it to go smoothly, so i was hoping there is something i can read prior to doing the job.
Any Suggestions?
Hey im not sure of how to hook it up but after you put it in let me know how it works been wanting to do this for awhile
look it up on the12volt.com, there is section there for this
i put one of these in my old car, piece of cake really,i think the instructions come with it
good pics on this post
I very recently installed the lock kit (no keyless), I took my time about it and still got it done in two hours. Like I said, I took my time. haha
Puling the wires through the boot in the door jamb is a bitch, I was worried for every second I was doing it that I'd rip that boot or break a wire. Just disconnect the boot from the door AND the jamb, and have a wire coat hanger handy along with some decent side-cutters to cut yourself a straight piece. Bend one end into a hook, put the wires through that, tighten that hook till its closed, and yank the wires through kinda massaging the boot till you get it.

Hey im interested in doing this on my car, does anyone know of any good sellers that you can recommend
Spal, Autoloc, Crimestopper (I have that one). DEI makes actuators, but I don't think they make the whole kit, so much wiring would need be done.
ive got the spal power locks but didnt get the keyless module... where could i get it at?
eBay. Any keyless kit should work. May need a relay. Or save for an alarm and have the power locks hooked into that.
Put them in today, works great!
Only problem is my Amp for my subs wont run off of any of the 12V Accessory lines, so i taped into a constant and added a toggle on my center console for the time being.
if connected to a 12V switched it just goes to power protect mode..... sigh

Talking about the amp turn-on? Headunit doesn't have the blue wire used for that? Anyhow, thats weird.
it has amp turn on, Amp REM, and a power Antenna. Not one of them work.
I think the harness was screwed up by whoever installed it.
12V from the hot line is 10.8V ish and from the 12V switch it is 8-9V.
That doesn't sound right at all, it DOES sound like the installer messed something up.
