yeah, they do that. its part of owning a cavalier. just make sure all your bolts are tightened properly, and turn the radio up.

dont tighten them too much.that will make it crack. i learned that the hard way
i got too many cracks to fix so i just bought a new dash. good luck.

you could also try putting some adhesive backed padding between the pieces when you tighten everything up that way you don't have to worry about overtightening or undertightening.
ya I had the same problem, always hear my dash rattling on really hot or cold days. I got some sound dampening (aka. adhesive backed padding) material. So far is has been 1 month and I haven't heard a sound.

get some weather striping (the foam kind). Use that and shove it in the places you notice the dash vibrating, that should help with your problem.
