Under Dash

Alright so my interiors going nicely,but i wanna get the part underneath of the dash (the bottom part, not sure of the name of it). Does nebody know how to take it off, or should i just strip everything out, trim and cover stuff, and paint inside my car? The cars a 96 Cavy Manual.

i did the same just masked off everything and painted away. to much hassle to pull the whole dash off

Yep, either lots of paper/plastic and lots of tape, or a few tools, lots of time, and lots of patience. Lots of beer with either, but thats a given.

take it out of the car. much safer, less chance of screwing up and it can be done in about the time you'd have to tape the entire car up. just start at the edge and work your way around pulling screws.

getting the dash out is far from complicated, just time consuming. do it right
