Update on factory tach swap
Sunday, July 22, 2007 1:22 PM
I went to the bone yard this morning and picked up a gauge cluster out of a 97 RS cavi that had a factory tach. The car looked like it was in a flood and had sand in the cluster. I took it home, took it apart and cleaned it up the best I could. I had to swap in a lot of things from my original cluster but every thing works perfectly. nO passlock trouble. Only problem is my temp needle is off and I think My fuel level needle is off as well. I left the clear plastic off so that next time I fill up i can just remove the needle and re-possition it along with the temp needle one I find someone with a temp gun.

Oh yeah, and I now have a trip meter... and now instead of my gear pattern reading 1-2-d n-r-p it says 1-2-3-d-n-r-p. no biggi I guess.
