Carpet Wear Spot

My carpeting is wearing out in a weird spot. It is under the pedals, between the clutch and brake. I can not get my foot there

Do you have a floormat on the driver's side? that can be one possible cause

Also, since there is a little hump there, when you push in the clutch it can stretch the carpet over that hump causing the wear.
