just looking for some pictures of a 95-99 console with the 5spd shifter boot bezel that HAS power windows. seems as though its a unicorn part for our cars cuz i cannot seem to locate one ANYWHERE other than GM.

I have a few of those pieces..... it just snaps in, in place of the no window switch pieces. I forget what the part number is from GM for that piece.

thanks a lot! not a big deal, just wanted to actually SEE one. im dead serious, i called OVER 220 salvage yards in the US with cavalier consoles off of car-part.com, only TWO had this piece and one wanted $120 plus shipping for the console and wouldnt sell just the shifter bezel, the other said the bezel had been faded and they still wanted $60 plus shipping for the bezel.

i can get the piece from gm for $38.00 brand spanking new. which is what im going to do soon, i just wanted to actually SEE the piece in a car lol.

it IS indeed a rare part though, EVERY 5spd car ive ever seen 95-99 had manual windows. i couldnt even find one on ebay after a year of searching every few days.

hm i mite actually have a spare switch in the garage , i think u want the benzel tho with the 5 speed thing correct.. pretty sure i could get one if i dont have one but 38 isnt too bad i guess for new

Used to have one. Makes me wish i had kept it. The only ones i've seen were in z24's

That piece and a 95-99 gauge cluster for 5 speed with tach are both hard to find, and both of them mostly come from Z24's. I think the majority of 5 speed 95-99 Cavs out there were base models/LS models, so they didn't have power windows, or a tach. Check a few dealerships around you, as well as GM Parts Direct, to see if you can get a better price. I was kind of surprized to find out that a dealership a few towns over from me was like 20% cheaper on most parts that everyone else. It's worth a few phone calls to try.

congrats, you have a rare option! lol my 98 Z is the same way, just has the automatic insted of the 5spd.
