How to raise my Sunfire seats? I have searched and looked all over this site and cannot find anything, after all this time driving my car and especially on the last long road trip I just took I feel I am sitting to low. lol and I am a short little guy I just need to figure out a way to raise my seat.
Anybody? Thanks in advance.
The simplest way I can think of would be to add washers before bolting the seat down. This will only give you a little bit of height, since the bolts don't have a lot of extra length. Beyond that, you'd likely be looking at fabricating some sort of custom mounting bracket. A phone book on the seat might also work.

lol my girl said the same thing.... but thanks for the washer idea...hmm other than that fabricating some kind of bracket... I would have to take it somewhere for someone to do that..
but thanks again

Making brackets has been a common thing for many of us putting racing seats in our cars, and the
basic design is fairly straightforward. Yours wouldn't even need to be as complicated, since you aren't changing the bolt layout. You would also get the benefit of being able to bring the seat forward toward the pedals a bit more, if desired.

Odd. I'm 6'2" and I never had a problem with head clearance even with my stock seat. It is possible to make a mounting system that sits a bit lower though. I'm probably fine because I like to sit with the seat leaning back quite a bit.

I have a sunroof. the headliner skims my head like it was a spider, only when I sit upright.
