03-05 Gauge Pods
Friday, August 24, 2007 12:47 PM
I've searched many times and came up with mixed results. Most say there are no pods for 03+ J-body cars. Some say they will pretty much fit. Even A+ Performance has triple pods listed as 95-05. It's all confusing. I've purchased a single pod that was listed as 95-02. I'm still waiting for it to get here. Does anyone have anything to add? This way people can search better in the future.

Well that's good. At least there's that option. I just hope there's a single pod, thats all I'm looking for.

Cool. Well a dual wouldn't be too bad. I could live with that. I will have to take pics when I get this single pod for a 95-02 to show how it fits an 03-05. Anyone else have any tips for finding single pods for 03-05's? Thanks to 05extreme for some good info so far.

ProPod looks like a very nice company. Their site came up when I googled their name. They make Dual pods (full pillar) and triples for 03+ cavalier. I guess I could settle for the dual if I have to. Can anyone confirm that the cavalier pillar is the same shape as the sunfire for 03+?

Lefix -- Yes, I'm all over ebay. Thats where I ordered the single pod for a 95-02 to see if it works. Ebay only has listings for triple pods for 03+ (I refuse to get a triple, not interested in that many gauges).

I am pretty sure the 95-05 cavaliers have the same pillar, therefore the 95-02 pods can work on the 03-05 cavs and vice versa. I also believe that the 95-05 cavaliers and sunfires are the same between the front windshield to the back windsheild as far as structure goes so yea the pillars should be the same.....remember these cars are EXACTLY the same except for a couple curves.

Addition to what I said above:

the 2 doors and 4 doors are a little different, but the 2 door pod can fit a 4 door with minor modification.

OK, the verdict is in-- The single pod for the 95-02 j-body DOES NOT fit the 03+ Sunfire. It's not even close. So now I'm going to look for a ProPod I think. Anyone have a link to where they are sold?

If he doesn't want that triple pod I'll take it :-)^^

haha..back on topic..yeah 95-02 are different than the 03-05 pillars. I had the autometer dual pod on my 04 that was made for 95-02 j-bodies and it didn't fit too well.

UPDATED --- I received the ProPod I ordered today. It's a full pillar dual pod. Looks very nice. It's listed for only the Cavalier 03+ on ProPod's site, but it does fit my 2005 Sunfire exactly the same. Now I have an extra single pod for 95-02's.
