What The Deuce Is The Part Number For The Grant Steering Wheel Adaptor?
Tuesday, August 28, 2007 11:15 PM
I've got a pretty sweet Grant steering wheel that's been kicking around in my garage since I totaled the truck that it was originally on, so I figured I should probably slap it on my Sunfire ('97 GT). Apparently though, Grant doesn't have a part number listed for this make and model, as they don't want you removing the air bag. Well, I want to remove the air bag, and I want to know the damn part number, so if anybody could be of any assistance here, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Grant adaptors, yes, but ive never seen a Momo adaptor at any autozone, etc. unless you go to a hot rod shop or something similar that deals with higher end products

Yeah, thanks guys. I forgot to post this PM from Kardain the other day:

"I be out of posts, but I dug this up a long time ago

Grant part number 3196 - 94 Sunbird -- Will work with your car since the splines are the same from 80-something to 02 (5 bolt wheel)
Momo part # 2401 - 82-02 Cavalier (6 bolt wheel)"

I am having the opposite problem on a customer's 03 Cavalier. The hub is too small for the shaft on the car. But the splines on the adapter are bigger than the splins on the car's shaft. The adapter will not fit onto the shaft. We removed the "air bag clock spring" so that is not why it won't fit. We even tried another 2401 adapter. Same thing... no fit. If anyone has any photos of the adapter on a 03 or later Cavi it would be appriciated.

I searched all posts with "wheel" in the title in the interior forum and could not find a definitive answer for the 03+

So the grant hub won't work on an 2004 column? Also why is that when I look at the pic there are only three holes instead of the five in the steering wheel?
