steering wheel by pass air bag

i just bought a steering wheel for my 00 cavy i just wanted to know if there is a way to by pass the air bag so i would not have a light on my gauge cluster. i dont know if there is someone that already asked this question but i was not able to find anything on it. if anyone could help thanx
