Im wondering if anyone knows the status of the colored interiors that came in early sunfires? Are they still availible? Any part numbers? I have seen a sunfire with a red interior near my house, and i love the red seats! I want to try and hunt down a red interior...

I was told the colored pieces aren't available from GM anymore. Your best bet is to track some down in a junkyard.

If you had the part numbers, you could probably order them from a GM parts supplier. BUT... OEM parts are horrendously expensive.

Example: the lower half of the seat, part number 88992187 is ~$350. Add the upper half at 12456302 and you're looking at ~$700... for ONE SEAT. And that's not including any hardware or headrest.

You could get custom leather fit covers from Katzkins or (my personal fave) Classic Soft Trim for waaaaaaaaay less. Order them in any colour combination... even perforate the middle piece. And you'd still have plenty of $$$ left over.

Is that the prices for the colored Seats? I figured they were very expensive... I just loved how it looked. There was one being parted out on ebay a while ago, but i didnt have the cash at the time.

That's the cost for any seat, they're all the same price. I don't know what the part numbers I posted match up to, just a particular seat for a Sunfire.

yeah youlle end up paying way more just for stock seats, you could have your seats recovered or just buy aftermarket seats for less.

How does it look when you get the seats recovered? I guess it depends on who does them. Any rough ideas on how much it should cost to get seats recovered?
