im tryin to paint my kick pods to stock color or close, but i want the texter that the stock pieces have, and ideas on what to use.
so far im thinkin some krylon textured type or something

Wont take stock texture, I painted something with it (Nerf gun lol) and it looked good, but nothing like the stock stuff. Just sand flat, and paint with the GM dye.

cover it in vinyl it will match as close as you can get it and it doesn't cost alot.... plus you can get it in almost any color

go to any place that sells automotive paint they make stuff that sprays on and adds texture that mimics the stock look, it wont be a 100% match but it will be close enough that most people won't even notice the diffrence. you can also tell them what car and what interior color you have and they should be able to get you the matching color from the factory.
