has anybody converted all the interior lights to leds? like dome light and mirror lights and i know i am in the interior section but i would like to know if any one has done the license plate lights to leds . my friend did all his lights on his jetta looks amazing

One of the things on my to-do list was once the kit was on was to swap from the normal bulb license plate light to leds or a neon. I have since decided on leds and have gone no further in this process since my parts are not with me down south (as of yet)
as of right now my cluster, hvac and dome lights are all leds and i love it! i gotta find out what size the festoon bulbs are in the map lights so i can get leds for that, sylvania says they are 194 but they arent in the 95-99s at least. i highly recommend the swap!

Hmm, I have an led dome & HVAC. LED plate light and trunk light. I also have cluster LED blue backup lights that are ridiculously bright.
The dome, trunk and plate lights are all the same size just so you know.
Do you know what bulb i need for the cluster of my car?? (2002 cavy idk if it matters) and is #74 what i need for the HVAC?
^^^^^^^^^well you know for your cluster, you have to do some soldering.
It would be nice to have a complete bulb guide for the J´s
Kevin, yes. #74 is what you need for the HVAC lights. You said you have a 2002, so you'll need 2 #74 bulbs.
Also, for the cluster. I don't think it really matters what bulb you use, cause regardless you'll need to do soldering since the bulbs aren't simple plug-n-play like the others.
I always go to:
http://www.autolumination.com/ for my LED's. I always get them within 3-5 days within ordering with no problems. Awesome group.

Interesting. I put 194's in mine with no problem.
I used to have every bulb in my interior done in blue bulbs: 194 in the dome and map, 74 in the HVAC, and two 194's in each map pocket using some snap-in pigtail sockets I found online a while ago.
I have since been converting everything to LED, including making all of my switches lit with 3mm LEDs. I don't have any pics because the car is gutted right now for paint, dynamat, and new upholstery, but it's coming out pretty sweet.

Seems to be a relevant topic to ask this...
Is there a LED with socket to replace the socket and bulb in a 95-99 odometer? I did the 194 swap a LONG time ago, and the odometer's been acting up ever since, with the light going on and off or it displaying weird things. The socket is just too small for me to solder anything new in.
^^ yes. i forget what model number, but you can find them at places like autozone or advanced. its much easier to plug the leds into the new socket and plug the socket into the cluster than to try n remove the bulb and have to resolder.
edit: all the answers are
here...

That thread doesn't mention the odometer, but I think I found what I need. Thanks.
