Ok i have been searchin for while and i cant find a center console for sale for a 2000 cavalier now i was wondering are all the center consoles interchangable with 95+ models and can i use the 95+ sunfire consoles also without having to modify anything. Also its a manual tranny set-up. oh and if i (HAD TO) cut the existing one i have what wouldnt i have that the normal ones have?

get the brackets that go with the center console you're getting and you can put any 95+ cavalier/sunfire center console in your 95+ cavalier/sunfire.

ok i think i didnt word it the right way... I have a 2000 cavalier and i have done an engine and tranny swap. Ok. now it was a three speed. ok now i want the console for the manual. I was asking if the consoles are interchangable for 95 an up models and if the console in the sunfires could go in the cav's.

no it wont. i have a 95-99 center console and my lid was all cracked so i grabbed one from a 02 cav and it doesnt fit. it bolts up fine and all but when you try and close it, the front is by the latch is shaped a little different.
the consoles can go from sunfire to cavalier I know my old one with a tv went in a 95-99 style cavi no problems
95-99 Sunfire consoles may not fit in 00+ cars due to the height of the console. Aren't the 00+ dashes lower in the middle due to the change to double din stereos? I know my 95-99 Sunfire console rubs the bottom of my dash in my 99 Sunfire, so if the 00-05 dashes are lower then it probably won't fit.
