Hey Guys,
I tried looking through many of the threads but cant seem to see anyone having this issue.
Where my shifter is on the 05 Cavalier Coupe - Auto - the part where it shows me my car is in P - D - N - R - 3 - 2 the lights that lit that up, have gone out.
I went to GM, they told me its a bulb and would cost $70 to fix.
Anyone know of the issue, or how easy it is to replace myself?
Any direction or pictures or comments would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
the bulb should cost like $2 at autozone. very easy fix. remove the console(5 bolts?) lift the cover that shows PRND321 and the bulb is right under it.
this thread might help you out:
clicky
it's really easy. i bought my car with that light out, it was the first thing i did to it and had no problems at all. I can't remember what size the bulb was, but autozone should help you figure it out.

Upgrade it to an LD and you will never really have to touch it, and it will look better too...
haha dealerships and their stealery
Itll take you less time to fix than it will to drive the car to a dealership.
Well I'm sure it is an hour labor total for a min, and most places are about 70-90 an hour shop labor... It is fair if you don't know how to do it.
I would happily pay 70-90 a hour... here the stealerships just up'd it to $110/hour
I got quoted $190 to install a dash pad
Which would take me 20 mins to do For a new dash pad installed from the dealer ship was 493.99 plus tax
I know this is even more off topic but....
I was quoted $1200 (one thousand two hundred) to fix my A/C .... and I did it myself for under $300.
They will almost always screw you.
70 bucks huh did they offer you dinner before they f*cked you
