I've heard this is very common in cavaliers to have the front part of the dash near the windshield crack. I just noticed it today! It's been in great shape for awhile now and it's only an 05 that i've taken very good care of so I'm really disappointed... is there a repalcement anywhere, or should I go for the junk yard special?

there is no replacement for it besides replacing it with another dash that could break again. Its all one big piece and you have to remove everything out of there before you can replace, I think it costs around 700$ at the dealer. I'am already planning out a solution for my self, I got some tan colored vinyl at a fabric store, I'm going to make a patch for him so it goes right over it in the exact center where the defrost vent is. I have glued the dash together using Bulldog glue its been holding up for 2 years but it still looks ugly. I want to at least hide it.

there IS a replacement piece....more of a cover
unfortunately im to lazy right now to search for it
i believe the cover is from coverlays and was around $100 or so. from what ive read, the people who've bought it love it.

If its an 05 maybe you can get it fixed under warrenty.
I have a spare dash laying around. Nobody wanted it so if mine cracks I have a spare.
holy crap $114 for that piece. man i could have a hay day at the junkyards i just went to. added to my list for next weekend.
