GM leather seat covers
Wednesday, February 06, 2008 8:53 AM
i know your probably looking at the different topics and see that i've posted here quite a bit lately. I am trying to get the cav back in good shape after having bad bodywork done and going throw that stage of painting my interior. my question now is, where can i get the gm leather seat covers? when i got my cavalier in 2002, they had a book with optional accessories, including the shark wing spoiler, leather seats, and different wheels. I tried gmpartsdirect.com and couldn't find them. does anyone know? and how are they? are they cheaper, better, worse, or comparable to katskin? and where can i get them?

go to your local dealer and ask them. if its an official GM part, then they can get it (if they even still offer it). but for some reason i was thinking that they were just katzkins anyway. and if thats the case, then buying from a katzkin dealer would be much cheaper than going through your chevy dealer.

coming back in 2008...

This is true seeing as how Katzkins are expensive to begin with, I'd hate to see what the dealer would charge.

yea basically they were "custom" katzkin covers with sunfire written on them. Since the J isn't really supported anymore, GM accessories stopped producing the sets, one may, like you said be able to still catch them on ebay tho if you are lucky, or a dealer that still has some stock.

They were sold through GM accessories for Cavalier and Sunfire, they are NOT leather, they are vinyl with neoprene center. They were made by Saddleman, Coverking put the logo and distributed them to GM dealers. GM accessories stop selling these since 2006.

ah good to know, I would just spend the money on the katzkins or go to a upholster to have the seats redone.

I went to that Coverking website, and they make them for the cavalier. I wonder if they look the same as above...

Hey guys I won seat covers exactly like the ones you have uptop in the same color. I won them for 150 with shipping, with all the parts for front and rear, I was wondering if they're worth it? I want the interior of my car to have a custom look and I figure since my car isn't really ever going to beat a mid 15 run that theres no point in purchasing racing seats. So I thought these would look good since they look like reupholstery.

So it was you with the crazy high paying bidding! I'm sorry man, not out to ruin ya. I saw a set exactly like those selling on ebay like 2 months ago and a dude outbid me in the last second for like a dollar and it was the last set of the grey/blue that guy had, so I was pissed. Well dude to be honest, I'm debating weither to keep them or not, if I don't I'll make sure I sell them to you for what I pay. For som reason I know they're worth $150 but don't knw if I want them bad enough. I was really expecting to only pay 100 max for them, so let me think and I'll send you a pm if I decide to not keep them. Sorry if I pissed ya of man... I love you and I bet you wear outer space jeans... cause your butt is out of this world! j/k

That's what a bidding war does... these were at like $26 with a minute left in bidding.... then all hell broke loose
