Rear deck now wrapped in suede.

So yea, I think this is one of the very few topics I actually created about my car. I've been swapping out my tan interior for a charcoal / graphite interior, piece-by-piece. Picked this rear deck up from the junk yard, the carpet was fried. Decided I'd strip the carpet off and rewrap it in black suede.. I always liked suede. Being my car is in a parking garage five days out of the week (and the windows are tinted), I'm not really worried about sun damage any time soon. Anyway, it's nothing big.. but I thought I'd share anyway.

What do you think?

Nice. A little dark for the rest of the interior I think, but that's probably just the pics.
Good job man!

Thanks. Yea, the rear seat looks light as hell because of the flash.. it's darker than that. Here's another picture from further back.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, very much appreciated! I used 3m Spray Trim Adhesive (bought at AutoZone), cost about $15.00 after sales tax.. sticks like a champ!

Tan FTL... Suede FTW!

Looks great. I plan on doing some wrapping of my own... Was there any specific method used? Maybe a write-up would be helpful.

I basically just sprayed the center of the deck with the trim adhesive, pressed it down.. then started spraying one side at a time and worked my way from the center, outward, making sure to stretch the suede as I went along to avoid any wrinkles. After wrapping the entire thing, I got a fresh blade for my X-Acto and cut all the holes I needed. For the rear seat latch hole, I cut two triangles from each side and cut from point to point.. it looks like this >---< then just fold those around back. Just take your time and make sure to stretch it tight, and you shouldn't have any problems.
