that molding piece right below the windshield on the front dash is cracked right down the center.
anyone know and easy fix?

You could probably get one at the junkyard pretty cheap?

this has been brought up thousands of times. its the infamous dash crack. they do make a cover that will go over it but it runs about 120 for the piece. only other thing to do is either ignore it or go pull the whole lower dash from a yard since that piece is connected to the bottom dash

Not sure if you want to go through changing out the whole dash structure, then risking it happen again.

The other option is if you do replace the dash structure, do something to reinforce it before you put it in, like some fiberglass on the underside. It would suck to go through all that work and have it crack again.

Bah, there's at least three threads about this on the first page at any given time. Simple search would've found it. But, nonetheless.. here's the place you need to go for a replacement. It's the fastest and easiest way to fix it.. although it's not the cheapest (but reasonable for many). Click me.

well considering ive had that dash out three times in the past two days i klnow how to take it out fairly well in no time at all so i think i will just do that

we're talking the whole dash, not just the top dash pad. the whole dash which will involve pulling the wheel and all.

yea i know ive had it out about 3 times the ENTIRE DASH!!!!

Or you could get a Dash Cover from Autozone for $30. I've had mine for a year now and love it.

On another note, if you've had the piece out three times, why didn't you already replace it?
